Anonymous issues, time of Domitian to Antoninus Pius, 81-161. Quadrans (Copper, 16 mm, 3.30 g, 6 h), Rome. Bust of Minerva to right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet and aegis. Rev. S - C Owl standing right, head facing. Cohen VIII, p. 268, 7 var. (draped bust). RIC II, p. 216, 7 var. (draped bust). Attractive olive green patina and with a lovely rendering of Minerva and her owl. The reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
